Internet Buzzing About Approval Of NPS Pharmaceuticals’ Orphan Drug Gattex (Teduglutide) For Short Bowel Syndrome

       On Tuesday, October 16, 2012, NPS Pharmaceuticals announces that orphan drug Gattex (Teduglutide) receives a unanimous recommendation for approval from the FDA’s Gastrointestinal Drugs Advisory Committee for treatment of adults with Short Bowel Syndrome (SBS). Now everyone waits for a decision from the FDA, with the PDUFA date  of December 30, 2012.
