Challenge Searches For Discontinued Drugs To Treat Rare Diseases

A current “Challenge” involving orphan or rare diseases and “repurposing” discontinued pharmaceuticals is posted on InnoCentive’s website on February 8, 2013. The deadline date is March 11, 2013, and has an award. The “Seeker” for this “Challenge” is an unnamed biopharmaceutical company with expertise in developing orphan drugs for rare diseases, who “desires proposals for pharmaceuticals that have been discontinued in clinical development but that could have potential to treat a non-oncology rare disease”.
