Pediatric Diseases: FDA Upcoming Meetings
This Blog Post reviews an upcoming public workshop and a public meeting offered by the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER).
I – Pediatric Bone Health
On June 3, 2014, there is a 1-day public workshop, “Advancing the Development of Pediatric Therapeutics (ADEPT): Pediatric Bone Health”, to be held at the FDA in Silver Spring, Maryland. The objective of this initial workshop is to provide:
“a forum to consider issues related to advancing pediatric regulatory science in the evaluation of bone health in pediatric patients.”
There is no charge to attend the public workshop. If one is planning on attending, registration in advance is required by May 23.
II – Inborn Errors of Metabolism
On June 10, 2014, there is a public meeting, “Inborn Errors of Metabolism (IEM) Patient-Focused Drug Development”, to be held at the FDA in Silver Spring, Maryland. The objective of this public meeting is to obtain:
“patient input on the impact of the neurological/neuropsychological signs, symptoms, and daily impacts that matter most to patients, and current available approaches to treat the neurologic manifestations of inborn errors of metabolism.”
To register for this public meeting, please go to the website by May 27. One can attend in person or view the meeting via a Webcast.
